Very emotional

I agree, vocals are very well done. Very somber, made me teary eyed.

Don't mind people that can't appreciate real emotion.

Blown away....

You've got a lot of good stuff here, I'm rather speechless.

Yeah!

I normally I write reviews *as* I'm listening to the song. So:

Intro: Good start, feeling it.

As it moves on, I notice some cluttered bass frequencies; kinda throws off the whole feeling of the beat. Like mixing a bass synth with a bass kick. Afterwards (around 2:30 or so) comes back feeling good.

I like the use of skip timed arpeggios, there's a lot to take in, but just enough to give some good imagery. There are points (like 3:50) where I'm noticing some weird frequency clipping as well (not just mixed instruments, actual clipping, although intended distortion will do the same thing, I play my music loud loud).

Apart from a few tiny things (mixing related, and again it's only my own observations, different hardware etc.) I really enjoyed this one.

Not trying to pick it apart. xD

Greenspade responds:

I never had a review like that, thank you.

Let's see

This really isn't that bad. I'm enjoying the 8bit accents, could use a bit more variety in tone though.

I like it nonetheless.

lostpenis responds:

I love you.

I'm diggin it.

First thing that comes to mind when I hear this: Jet Grind Radio (Jet Set Radio)
Although a little less active tempo wise... not a bad thing. :D

I'm liking it, personally. That's all I can say.

Beautiful

Death Cab for Cutie... heh. I don't normally listen to them too often.

Beautiful rendition though. There's something off putting about the minor pitch corrections happening, sounds very tremolo(y) and makes me think of water or rather. Or is that the compressor? Not sure, beyond that it's quite lovely.

Wow...

I started writing this review like 2-5 seconds in... and I must say.... it gets better the longer I listen to it. Top notch, very energetic. I enjoy the minimalism, there's nothing cluttering up the stage, and the bass wobble(ish) sounds add to the emotion.

The things I would say otherwise, would probably be to one: make this sh*t longer, a LOT longer, great stuff going here. I can loop it, sure, but when you actually focus on a larger scale, you can switch it up more and it becomes less repetitive.

Shigimatsu responds:

Thanks a lot! I spent a lot of time on this song, and to have a review so quick made it worthwhile :) I will make it longer if this song gets moderate success.

I love minimalism, thanks for noticing :)

Great!

The setup of this is very clean, simple, and I really start feeling the groove when you start rhyming. I hate to sound 'white cracker' describing it, but I'll admit, I'd listen to this doing just about anything.
